Everyone knows that we should have smoke detectors in our homes, but do you have the recommended number of smoke detectors? How about carbon monoxide detectors? Have they reached the end of their life and are now chirping constantly?
It's recommended that you have a smoke detector on each floor and inside each bedroom and that they are replaced every 10 years. I recommend units with a 10 year battery so you don't need to remember to replace the battery.
I can replace your existing detectors or add more battery-operated detectors as needed. If you need to add more hard-wired detectors, you should contact an electrician to perform the work.
Carbon monoxide is an odorless & colorless gas that results from incomplete burning of fuels from things like your furnace. Inhaling excessive levels of carbon monoxide can result in illness or even death. You should have a carbon monoxide detector on every floor.
You can save money by getting detectors that can sense both smoke and carbon monoxide.
